The SPIN team will be out in Ardwick campaigning for Bernard Priest and Mavis Smitheman later today. Our doorknocking and canvassing will hopefully contribute towards removing this punitive Tory government as Labour will surely be the best solution for Manchester’s homeless communities.
The Well opened for breakfast and was followed by a church service where the residents participated in hymns and prayers. This was soon followed by a luxury meal of slow cooked beef, slow cooked pork, roast chicken and stuffed peppers. All the residents seemed to love the lavish meal and later socialised during the evening.
Mark collected a generous donation of a Carlsberg crate from The Millstone pub in the Northern Quarter earlier today. These beers will be used as a treat for many of the residents at the BINGO evening tonight and The Millstone’s landloard has also discussed the possibility of hosting a function to raise funds for SPIN.
Mark and one of our volunteers Adele are attending the ‘Be Proud’ awards at Manchester Town Hall tonight. Congratulations Mark on the nomination, it’s been thoroughly deserved and good luck for tonight.
